Clients are reminded that they are responsible for the safe keeping of all equipment on hire. As the value of these items can run into hundreds of thousands of pounds we require adequate insurance to be in place to cover full replacement value as new, or alternatively that an insurance waiver is purchased from us to limit the Client's liability. Clients are required to produce acceptable evidence of adequate insurance at the time of signing our contract or, purchase our insurance waiver which limits liability to the first £500 plus VAT of any claim in respect of loss or damage to property whilst on hire. This cover excludes loss or damage to portable items such as furniture, heaters, sound and lighting equipment etc.
In accordance with our Terms and Conditions, if we do not receive the required evidence of independent insurance at the time of booking, our insurance waiver will come into effect automatically and this will be charged at 6% + VAT of the total hire invoice. |
